Wordless Wednesday: Food, Wine and Music

We've yet to visit for the Food & Wine festival, so this week we went with a tribute to the Food, Wine, and Music of the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Photos of the great food we ate at both Boma and Sanaa (along with a shot of lisa's glass of wine) and some pics of our kids enjoying the musical parade through the lobby.

Oscar Winners!  Up!, Brave, Toy Story 3, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, and The Incredibles all won an Oscar for "Best Animated Feature".  Missing from our collage is Wall-E.  We've never seen him in the parks.

Wordless Wednesday: Family Favorites

One of our most favorite things to do each visit to Walt Disney World is character meals!  We usually do a few each trip!  They're a great way to meet some of our favorite characters, while enjoying a meal together at the same time!

Wordless Wednesday - Disney Weenies

This week's theme: Disney Weenies

First of all, What in the World is a Disney "Weenie"?  

As much as I consider myself a Disney fanatic, I have to admit that this term was new to me.  It turns out that in Disney-ese, a "weenie" has nothing to do with hot dogs or people who wear ponchos on Kali River Rapids.  So what is a Disney Weenie?  

A Disney "Weenie" is a visual icon designed to draw guests in.  In other words, it's something built by Imagineers to catch your eye and make you want to get closer to it.  The most obvious examples in Walt Disney World are the four main icons of the theme parks: Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth, Tree of Life, and the Sorcerer Mickey Hat.

So here are my favorite pictures I've taken of each, along with one or two alternative "Weenie Shots" for each park.

Wordless Wednesday- Disney Transportation

When it comes to Disney transportation, there's nothing better than sailing on Disney Cruise Line! We have been lucky enough to have embarked upon 2 magical cruises on the Wonder and Dream, and have another planned on the Fantasy next summer. This week we are sharing some of our favorite memories from our sailing on the Disney Dream. From the Sailing Away party to Castaway Cay to Mickey's Pirates in the Caribbean Night, Disney cruises are fun for the whole family! Disney really does offer the best of the best when it comes to cruising. For us there's no other way we'd rather travel on the high seas!
